Meet the Heart Behind the Bridge
Finding purpose through pain, and hope through healing.
Kathleen Sanchez-Joly is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit, The Soulful Bridge. She is a devoted daughter, a loving wife, a proud mom and bonus mom, a dedicated student, and a passionate advocate for people in crisis. With a heart shaped by lived experience and a vision grounded in compassion, Kathleen has dedicated her life to building safe spaces for those who need them most.
Her journey has included seasons of instability, personal adversity, and prolonged exposure to abuse—emotional, psychological, financial, and relational. These experiences, while deeply painful, became the foundation of her strength and the root of her calling. At times, she and her children faced housing insecurity and uncertainty, yet even in those moments, Kathleen’s determination to create meaningful change never wavered.
Kathleen is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Human Services and is set to graduate summa cum laude in Spring 2026. She will continue her education by pursuing a Master’s in Counseling, followed by a doctorate in the same field. Her ongoing commitment to academic and professional development reflects her deep desire to serve others with both lived insight and clinical expertise.
The Soulful Bridge is more than a nonprofit—it is the result of resilience, empathy, and the belief that no one should have to walk through hardship alone. Kathleen created this platform to offer resources, dignity, and connection to those who are searching for hope and stability.

Her story is no longer just her own—it’s become a foundation for others to stand on.

“We are building the bridges we all once needed.”
